Welcome back to the Winter Term

Welcome back to a winter term that is well underway – I hope the holiday break was a restful time for you and yours. As our programs and research activities continue, I hope we will all find plenty of ways to stay meaningfully engaged and connected in our academic and scholarly work. If you have any questions or need clarification on matters throughout this term, I encourage you to reach out to your department but also feel free to contact me at oise.dean@utoronto.ca.

Working and Learning from Home

As you are no doubt aware, a number of additional measures have recently been taken to limit the spread of COVID-19. On January 4, the City of Toronto announced the implementation of additional public health measures for workplaces to help reduce the spread of COVID-19. On January 12, the Provincial government announced that the entire Province of »»ÆÞ¾ãÀÖ²¿ would enter our second state of emergency, and at the same time a stay-at-home order was issued. To comply with the Provincial state of emergency, we require that all OISE faculty, staff and students whose work can be performed from their homes do so until further noticePlease only come to the building for essential and accommodation needs (such as special technology otherwise not available). As a reminder, anyone who comes to campus must complete a COVID-19 self-assessment prior to doing so, and access to the OISE building requires an advance reservation through our website.
