The JICS Parents' Association welcomes Dr. Elin Kelsey, a distinguished professor at the University of Victoria School of Environmental Studies and renowned author, to speak to parents, students, and educators about nurturing children’s wellbeing and resilience in response to the climate crisis.
An award-winning children’s book author, speaker, and thought-leader for the evidence-based hope and climate justice solutions movement, Dr. Kelsey emphasizes the importance of hopeful narratives in addressing environmental challenges. She speaks worldwide, engaging people in conversations that spread and amplify environmental solutions.
To serve the public purpose of the JICS Lab School, this community event is open to all interested parents, guardians, caregivers, family members, educators, health and mental health professionals, preservice educators and faculty, school administrators, and any other adults who care for children.
