The new Professor Douglas McDougall Scholarship in Mathematics Education pledges to support the next generation of math educators.

SJE Disability Salons Student Spotlight Series: Fall 2025 has hosted two PhD student-led sessions, with one more on December 3rd.

SJE Chair Rubén Gaztambide-Fernández leads the community-based research project, Pedagogies of Community-Engaged Practice, and hosts an event on December 4th.

SJE Assistant Professor Dr. Shozab Raza received a Hunt Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Wenner-Gren Foundation for Anthropological Research.

SJE Departmental Student Association hosted a Lunch & Learn on Academic Publishing: Process and Politics, facilitated by SJE's Dr. Lore/tta LeMaster.

Professor Emerita Sandra Acker published The Social Production of Research: Perspectives on Funding and Gender with Oili-Helena Ylijoki and Michelle K. McGinn.

PhD candidate Miggy Esteban is awarded the 2025 Kathleen O’Connell Teaching Excellence Award from New College.
