The Centre for Leadership & Diversity (CLD) hosts its Annual International Conference each year, along with its Focus on Research Series and Student Seminar Research Series throughout the year. The Centre for Leadership & Diversity also collaborates with other centres to host events such as the Black Faculty in Conversation, the Decolonizing Conference, and more.

2023 Black Faculty in Conversation

Event Date: February 2023

The 2023 theme was "Building belonging between, within, and across Black communities and spaces." The conversation touched on topics such as methods of care, fostering community, and freedom dreaming all in the name of celebrating Black love and joy.

The event featured Dr. Erica Walker, Assistant Professor Dr. Qui D. Alexander, Professor Dr. Ann Lopez, Assistant Professor Dr. Andrew Campbell, Lecturer Dr. Marie A. Green, and Assistant Professor  Dr. Linda Iwenofu.


 

Addressing Anti-Black Racism in Education

Event Date: May 2020

The Centre for Leadership & Diversity (CLD) and the  hosted a conversation on "Addressing Anti-Black Racism in Education."

The conversation included OISE Faculty Njoki Wane, George Dei, Ann Lopez, Lance McCready, and Andrew B. Campbell, and was moderated by Department of Social Justice Education (SJE) PhD Candidate Janelle Brady.
